A Message from Pete Seaberg, Local 332 President

Summer is here! This is hands down my favorite time of year: BBQs, pool parties, ball games, the beach, and lots of family time with the kids. If your family is like mine (one just graduated from college, one going into high school, and one in middle school) then the kids are growing up way too fast, and life is very busy!

I feel like summer is the time of year when I get to catch up a little bit with family and friends. It’s the time to slow down for a minute and remember why we work so hard on the job.

I always say this to new apprentices and new members when I can: “We work hard for our money and fight hard for our benefits so that we can go home each day and live our lives how we want with who we want.” Along with this goes the phrase that I grew up hearing from my father: “We work to live, not live to work.”

These words have always served as a reminder for me to pause and remember to take in those small moments we get with our friends and family. I feel these thoughts are important to bring to you as we all continue to navigate this crazy busy world, perpetually caught up in trying to manage life instead of living it.

I hope you all have a great summer and I look forward to seeing more of you at our family events this year.

Always IBEW,

Pete Seaberg
President

P.S. I hope you’ll attend the 40th Anniversary Local 332 Family Picnic on July 13th at Coyote Ranch.

Our Condolences
