IBEW 332 MEMBERS LEFT OUR MARK ON SUPER BOWL XL!
There was no “Monday morning quarterbacking” when it came to the Super Bowl’s electrical power at Levi’s Stadium. That’s because Local 332 members were all-hands-on-deck to light it up!
Everyone remembers that 332 members helped build Levi’s Stadium. More recently, Sprig 332 members were on site rigging the scoreboard and luxury suites. Our work caught the attention of the stadium’s head engineer, who liked the way we operated and the relationship we built. He recommended us for pre-game prep and full on-site support during Super Bowl weekend, knowing we could handle the job. The NFL needed the best, and they got it with 332!
The core 332 team built the grounding infrastructure powering parts of the stadium, international broadcast operations, and the halftime compound, as well as installing backup generators for ticketing and shuttle staging areas. We then provided round-the-clock support Super Bowl weekend. A rotating crew of roughly 27 members took shifts from 7am Saturday through 10pm Sunday to make sure everything ran properly. And though some fans may have found fault with the plays, no one noticed the power—which means we did our jobs flawlessly.
