SANTA’S IDENTITY REVEALED!
IBEW 332 President Peter Huber has worn many hats over his 19 years with the local. One of them has been a fur-lined, red hat. For years, Peter has played Santa for the 332 annual holiday party. This year was extra special, because just a few weeks before the party, Peter became a grandfather for the first time. He’s featured on our cover and pictured right with Titus, his new grandson.
IT’S ALL ABOUT FAMILY
This is all part of Peter’s core value that drives him in his personal life and at work: FAMILY. “When I was coming up in the field, I was able to not only provide for my family, but actually spend time with them,” said Peter. “So many people have jobs that take them away from their families–including nonunion electricians. But being an IBEW electrician allowed me actually watch them grow up, be at all the important events, and be a part of their daily lives.”
CONNECTING MEMBER FAMILIES TO THE LARGER UNION FAMILY
Now in a key officer/staff role, President Huber wants to bring more families together at the local through more social events. “At the end of a day in the field, most members just want to go home, rest, and be with their families,” said Peter. “And then on the weekends, members plan family activities. I want to create more opportunities for those family events to be 332 family events. I want to make it easy for folks to spend time with their families while also strengthening our greater IBEW family and the community.”
GETTING INVOLVED IN 332’S SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
One of the ways to get more involved in IBEW 332 social activities is through our committees and clubs. President Huber will be playing an active role in 2026 in publicizing and making these groups more accessible to the membership. Below are a list of opportunities.
