Greetings Brothers & Sisters:

As I continue to feel out how to communicate with all of you, I have received a lot of positive member feedback about my openness in showing emotion, processing loss, and forging ahead to carry our local onward. So, I am going to continue with that trend of being open, raw, and straightforward with all of you.
The holidays are probably the most conflicting time of year. It’s overflowing with joy, cheer, happiness, family and friends, excited young kids, and celebration. At the same time, we have stress: shopping for gifts, hectic schedules to fit in events and parties, extra traffic, work deadlines, hosting, and where do we have to be, and at what time! It can feel like absolute madness wrapped up in holiday cheer with an extra dose of kindness to everyone around us. I understand if you feel conflicted, anxious, excited, sad, and happy all in the same day. I get it, and if I can feel that way, then I know it’s normal for you too.
This is why I want to continue to offer my office and my position as your business manager as a resource. Please come in and talk with me, share how you’re doing, and how you’re feeling. Let me know your ideas, how you feel about how YOUR local is doing, and the direction we are going. We have made tremendous progress over the last several years, and with your input, our local can continue to grow.
Nearly every measurable metric has improved significantly. Work calls have doubled. Membership communications has skyrocketed with emails, texts, surveys, and summaries of general membership meetings. Wages have jumped higher, pensions are getting stronger, and we have improved health benefits. We have exponentially more opportunities for members to get into apprenticeship programs. And of course, we have a wide range of union social activities to make new friends, see old ones, meet each other’s families, have fun, and volunteer to help our community.
Looking ahead to 2026, I am excited for all the opportunities for Local 332. Unlike so many other industries, our work picture is solid and growing. This means more work for you. We will also be able to bring in hundreds of new apprentices, organize more of our industry, open up even more opportunities for women and others to join our trade, and continue to build upon the successes of our predecessors. I hope you’re excited too.
With love, from my family to yours, I want to wish all of you a merry Christmas and happy holidays!
Always 332,
Peter G. Seaberg
Business Manager
