Covid 19 claims life of Local 332 Apprentice
January 28, 2021: Last weekend, the life of Joel Saldano, 2nd year Inside Apprentice, was cut short by the coronavirus. Joel leaves behind a wife and a 3-year-old daughter.
We are deeply saddened that one of our own was taken from us far too soon. As difficult as these times have been for us, it all pales by comparison to a tragedy like this. We extend our sincere condolences to Joel's family during this time of grief.
The members of this Local will do everything within their power to help Joel's family. We must also keep lookout for our other brothers and sisters in this Local. We all know how serious and deadly this virus is. Please be sure to follow all the Covid protocols on the jobsites and keep one another safe. Wear your masks, keep your 6' distance when you can, and wash your hands regularly. Additionally, please take extra precautions at home and during your commutes to work. We must be vigilant and try to stop this from happening again to the people that we love.
For anyone wishing to donate funds, a GoFundMe account has been established for Joel's family.
If you feel more comfortable paying with a check and mailing it or dropping off at IBEW LU 332, please make it out to Maritza Bautista. We will forward any donations that we receive directly to the family.
The family extends this invitation to all.
Please stay safe,
IBEW Local 332
